Amy Wiwuga started as a health care advocate with President Obama’s issue advocacy organization supporting the initial rollout of the Affordable Care Act in 2013. She is a recognized health advocacy leader in California and has championed broad and inclusive access to health care. Amy has participated in legislative efforts leading to significant appropriated investments in global maternal and child health programs, access to state health care for undocumented immigrants, regulation of big pharma, and the defeat of the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

Amy is proud to serve as a Ruling Elder of Session at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica. Amy also spends time advocating for reproductive justice rights in her position as an Executive Board Member for the California Democratic Party. Amy Wiwuga lives in Santa Monica with her children, and in her free time enjoys the outdoors and the great wines of California’s Central Coast.
