In 2019, WRRAP created the Kiira Fund to honor the legacy of our beloved board member, Kiira Jensen. Kiira knew that reproductive access doesn’t just happen in major cities or well-funded clinics. It happens in small towns, rural communities, and under-resourced areas where independent clinics are the only option.
Access to abortion care depends not just on the law, but on where you live and what you can afford. Community-based independent clinics serve some of the most vulnerable patients, yet they operate without the financial backing of larger organizations.
The Kiira Fund makes sure those doors stay open, patients receive care, and the clinics can continue to serve the communities that depend on them.
