The KIIRA Fund was created in September 2019 to honor the legacy of WRRAP's dear board member, Kiira Jepson.

This fund is dedicated to providing supplemental emergency funding for people accessing abortion services from independent, community-based clinics throughout the United States.

THE KIIRA FUND

The KIIRA Fund supports the most vulnerable

Although abortion is still legal in all 50 states, whether a person can actually access safe, legal abortion care depends on where they live and how much money they make. Over the past two years, many states have passed unprecedented barriers to abortion access and restrictions on women’s personal agency and bodily autonomy. Therefore, it is more important than ever to protect abortion access and ensure that all those seeking abortion services, regardless of race, socio-economic status or geographic location, are able to access compassionate, respectful care when and where they need it.

In many parts of the U.S., people rely on community-based clinics, which have come under increasing attack in the current political climate. These clinics are independent, which means they do not benefit from the strong political or financial backing of the National Abortion Federation or Planned Parenthood.

The KIIRA Fund will exist in perpetuity to ensure that these community-based clinics are able to continue providing critical abortion care services to those who need it. In many areas across the US, these independent clinics are the only reproductive health center available for the most vulnerable community members.

Help ensure the KIIRA Fund can continue to support those in need by making a donation today.
