
Amy Wiwuga

Amy Wiwuga is a legislative advocate and strategist who believes everyone deserves not only rights and opportunity, but the freedom to build a life of dignity, joy, and belonging. Her career has focused on advancing health care access, reproductive freedom, and civil rights and liberties.
Amy currently serves as a strategist at the national ACLU, where she works alongside advocates across the country to strengthen and protect civil rights and civil liberties. She began her advocacy career supporting implementation of the Affordable Care Act and has since contributed to major efforts to protect and expand health care, including coverage for undocumented Californians, prescription drug reforms, and investments in global maternal and child health.
Amy also serves on the Executive Board of the California Democratic Party and has held leadership roles in Democratic politics and community organizations across California. A member of a Presbyterian congregation in Los Angeles, she has served in church leadership and is passionate about destigmatizing abortion and affirming reproductive freedom within faith communities.
