For over fifteen years, Sandra Fluke has devoted her career to public interest advocacy for numerous social justice causes, such as gender equality, LGBTQIA+ rights and criminal justice reform. She has worked to increase the minimum wage, make higher education affordable, and enhance protections for low-wage workers. Her work also includes representing victims of human trafficking and domestic violence as well as immigration clients. She is currently the President of a non-profit policy advocacy organization which galvanizes the advocacy of major political donors, business leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and other prominent individuals who unite to protect our climate, strengthen our democracy, and ensure economic and social justice for all.

Sandra Fluke came to national attention when she testified before members of Congress regarding comprehensive insurance coverage for birth control and took on Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators. She is frequently recognized for her powerful address to the Democratic National Convention. In the November 2014 election, Sandra was a candidate for California State Senate to represent the Westside of Los Angeles.

Currently, Sandra is a political partner with the Truman National Security Project. She serves on the boards for the National Council of Jewish Women-Los Angeles and Emerge California and on the advisory boards for Equality California, West Hollywood Beverly Hills Democrats, LA Forward, Westside Family Health Center, and Hollaback. Sandra is a DPSFV AD 50 Representative and also volunteers as a pro bono attorney.
